Anyone stayed at the Viva Hotel in San An? Seems to be the cheapest hotel room on the whole island at less than 10e per night for a single room! Also any other recomendations on cheap hotels would be appreciated, particularly anything in Playa Den Bossa?

And yes I know you normally get what you pay for, sadly for my next trip it must be cheap or it's not happening.
 
I haven't stayed but it's a new Hostal geared principally at workers opened by Nathan Viva who runs Viva! bar. Location is very central for the West End and I'd factor that in if you're intending on going to bed at midnight ... or want a parking space right outside the front door :!: However .... there's wifi throughout the hotel and facilities look a lot better than many places so unless those naughty workers have trashed the place already, I reckon you'll find the value for money ratio there second to none ;)
 
Viva Hotel was Don Juan last year and is more commonly known as the 24hr bar. Although currently they're not letting anyone in other than residents after bein raided 3 times in a week (or so the doorman told me last night). He also said give it a few days and they'll be letting people back in again. Apparently the coffee is very nice in there (The bar part is actually Viva Coffee Bar). Havent used the wifi this year but last year it was terrible.

The rooms are very basic (or they were last year) and it's very noisy!

Now that you've said that I think I know where it is. Makes sense that they've stopped taking bookings as a few days ago they had full availability pretty much the whole 2013 season, yesterday when I looked it was full!

Based on the location and clientele, ear plugs may be needed :lol:

I've looked again and there really doesn't seem to be anywhere else in that price range, any suggestions everyone? I'm travelling on my own by the way.

slept there last nigjt...new bedding, painted walls from last year...bar has now been shut but still very hot and noisey from the strip
