Hi all,
I just wanted to take a minute to introduce myself. I just booked my trip to Ibiza for next month and I am so excited already that I can barely sleep!
I'll be visiting from Las Vegas and traveling solo. For all the comparisons that Vegas gets to Ibiza these days, I'm not buying it. So I figured I'd take the Pepsi challenge and see for myself.
Figuring out who to see in the clubs, that was the easy part. I've pretty much constructed this whole holiday around seeing Swedish House Mafia's last performance at Ushuaia as a trio, and fleshing out which clubs to hit the rest of the week was the easy part.
Sorting out my hotel was also fairly easy (thank you TripAdvisor), I settled on the Garbi.
So I'm wondering a few things - I've been skimming these forums and there's a lot there to digest but I figured I'd just ask my questions along with searching for answers myself.
1) Any recommendations on essential things to see/do/eat for first time visitors?
2) Since I'm traveling solo, what/where/how are the best ways to meet new people on the island?
3) Anything in particular I should be aware of to avoid any "ugly American" moments?
Thanks so much in advance for all your expertise - I love visiting new places but hate traveling blind, so your tips and tricks are much appreciated.
