how is it possible to get vip cards from the different clubs ? We are interested in Amnesia, Pacha and Space. Sorry if this looks a stupid question, I am new about Ibiza topics. I tried to contact Pacha and nobody replies. They do not sell or tell if we have to be recommended by someone.

Hi Lidia and Mark,

Ask not what your club can do for you, but what you can do for your club.

:idea::idea:

Failing that - hack into the computer system at Space and get your name added to the list of season card holders.

McRackin on here can do this for 500 euros per person.

Thats the world of the VIP dudes! If you are, then you dont HAVE to ask!

In all seriousness, its tough to find them, the only way really is to get to know the promoters when you're out there.

Or you could pay the enormous prices, but im not sure you'll think its worth it....

Or if you're staying in a villa, get talking to the people who meet you to give you the keys, they are either local and know everyone on the island, or are workers, and know everyone on the island. My friends did it sucesfully and went into clubs for free all week. I rekon about 20%-50% of the people in the clubs haven't paid to get in.

personally I really dislike vip pass and all what they mean but I can understand some people feels vip just when they get a vip card. Chat around a table and overlook people when dancing is far from my idea of what to go to a club should be.
That's why I did not pay attention to a comment a friend of mine in Barcelona told me. She works for a large marketing company and said me one club in Ibiza - do not ask which, she doesn't even know - will distribute using a raffle or contest around 500 personal vip cards for the whole 2007. Just keep the ears open and check the websites of the clubs - and also some party' organizers too, in case - to know about the promo. With 500 and a bit of luck ... but do not be too eager cause Ibiza is sometimes dreamland.

Just to clarify the difference between a season pass and VIP.

Most if not all the clubs issue passes which are valid for the whole season. The cards that Space issue are linked in to their computer system on the door. A photo of the card holder appears along with any special allowances - the ability to take a camera in for example.

Who gets one? Space GM Fritz Pangratz (below) explains.

"A season pass we give to people which are here from Ibiza, who collaborate with us - shops, restaurants, bars, stuff like this. And of course personal friends from the industry - djs, promoters. You have to work in the industry and you have to collaborate with Space to get a season pass. People have to understand we cannot give one to everybody. It is something you have to work for and you have to be somebody."

(from the Space site)

Amnesia issue a season pass but apparently they quite often charge the holder 20 euros anyway, esp. in August. I haven't had an Amnesia card for a few years.

Pacha also issue a card but if it's full and the doorman doesn't like you he is likely to give this speech.

"See this card? It's my card. It's not your card. You cannot come in."

Circo Loco issued cards for a while but now they're back to the traditional "I'm Clive Henry's besht mate, me!" system.

Privilege had these nifty dog tags for a while but I don't know what they're doing these days. Manumission issue their own cards to workers, on the recommendation of others workers.

I think I had an Eden card in 2001 but so did lots of people. Es Paradis is pretty easy to blag anyway. I dunno about El Divino.

Ordinarily you can't buy these cards. You have to know someone at the club and badger them till they cave in.

VIP is different. You can pay for entry which typically is only for one night. VIPs have their own area and bottle service.

my opinion to compound what mick said,

the same method space use for dishing out season passes applies to all clubs. they give them out to bars, shops, etc that put posters up and have flyers.

In terms of how your season pass can gain you VIP access, that depends on if you know the person running the guestlist, the promotor of the club/event, etc, etc.

Cream, for example, historically had a band system for VIP access, which were dished out by the PR manager on the door to the club. However, they also had AAA bands that remained valid for the whole season.............got you into the DJ booth, the caves, etc............the ultimate accessory! ;)

There is a bit of a trade off between club/venue passes and promoter/event passes. If you've got a club pass, you'll get your freebie and thats it. If you know the promoter, they're more likely to stick a band on your wrist as you go in.

i had an eden one in 2001 as well mick;) (who didn't!), which was obtained by going to megamusic early in the season showing evidence of you being a worker. Not sure if its soo easy these days.

Es Paradis nobody should ever have to pay to get into.

El divino have passes but depending on the night it is also pretty easy to blag.

In general with passes, the same rule applies to them as with as just generally trying to get into the club. E.g. turning up at pacha at 4am on a friday or saturday is bad news brown, likewise with your club pass at any other big/popular night at peak time.

Amongst most workers, I'd say a space pass was the most fabled of passes (and that was before their busy schedules of recent years). Space used to do dog tags too back in the day mick!;) 8) There was always the rumour as well that early in the season, you could buy a space pass for 10mil (about £40) from the space shop in ibiza town, but i'm not sure you can do that now or even if the shop exists anymore!:?

However, for me a Pacha pass was much better value, well it was at the time anyway..........as there was a cracking night 7 days a week and well, it's pacha innit! I managed to blag one one year and the bought one for 5 mil another - cracking value (altho according to the name on the card i was Guiseppe Bergomo! 8O )
---------------

Overall, to get what i think you're looking for the best way would be to working for a club event or a bar or get to know the promoters/doormen/people running the guestlist.

Sometimes if the club think you're worthy of it, like a resident or loyal customer or somethin, then they may reward you with a pass (you can get life passes for space and pacha) but don't take it personally if you don't get one.
