VINYL TO CD

Whats the easiest way and quickest way of putting vinyl onto cd. Im using a few programs at the min, the problem im having is actually getting a decent sound through my speakers from my mixer.

Anyone have any suggestions??

I use Audio record wizard which creates MP3 files up to 320 K. As for the sound problem, check your sound card settings as some of them default to MIC rather than Line-in as they use the same physical input port on the card. Swap it around in software to see if it improves things. If all is Ok then the output cable from the mixer to the soundcard input should be all you need... you may have to optimise the speaker settings, again do this in software.

Alternatively you could use a stand alone CD recorder, which is how i get my mixes directly onto CD. Once you have recorded the music to the CD you can then transfer it onto your PC and do what the hell you want with it ( burn copies, import to iTunes etc ). The recorders cost approx £150 but are well worth it, I picked my up from Richer Sounds, try them.
