Read in a few different places that the police are cutting down on Villa parties. Whats the score here chaps? I knew theyre clamping down on loud music outdoors but are they actually clamping down on parties inside villas?

Anyone have any first hand experience this season?

if the parties are loud with loads of people in a residential area that effects other residents, it's likely the police with shut them down, as they would in most other places in the world! with the new laws, it's also likely they are putting a message to after hours clubbers that it's not an option! if you ask around there may be a few other options though 8)

Are you thinking of throwing one? :)

when a party is a nuisance - ie loud music, blocking roads, weird people in a respectable neighbourhood, infinitesimal possibility of drug use etc - the new laws give the police permission to enter the house, stop whatever is happening, fine the organiser and the owner of the house whether they know about it or not.

what if its just some friends, not loud music and not much noise but with a dj?!

having a dj puts you both in the weirdo and drug use category. (and don't pull my leg about no loud music or noise)

It depends if your a scantily clad female who has a penchant for dancing on tables in nothing but knee boots and a bikini

Nah....well we only tick 3 of those boxes. Ive heard from one or two people that the police have been pretty unreasonable to 'gatherings' of foreigners in villas.

you don't need to hear it from people on the qt - you can read all about it in the diario

it's like the liverpool echo, only in spanish and about ibiza.

What? It has front page stories about kids being banned from buses for only having coppers and "Ann, 74 from Kirkby found mice droppings in her Kwik Save rice pudding"

I'll check it out. Cheers
