Pre Launch press release:
Vertigo Festival aims to create a wholly unique, unparalleled and exclusive summer dance music festival experience, when it opens for the first time in August 2013. Hoping to embody the essential essence of a festival, whilst also combining this with a truly breath-taking natural environment, Vertigo Festival is set to take-place in the heart of what could arguably be described as one of Italy's most naturally beautiful locations.
Located in a secluded mountain pass between Italy and France, the expected capacity is around just 4,000 people. All those lucky enough to attend Vertigo Festival, will be able to indulge upon 18 hours of handpicked music, across each of the 3 days and nights, in the most intimate of surroundings.
Eager to assert its status as niche festival, Vertigo maintains a strict music policy, showcasing only the finest cutting-edge music from its carefully selected line-up of Deep and Tech-House DJs and Producers.
Much hype still surrounds the line-up and which artists will be included when the festival is expected to be released either later this year or during the first weeks of January. What is known however, is that talks and negotiations are in an advanced stage with regards to various international label/brand showcases.
For the time being, it is not possible to speculate further as to what labels, brands or artists will be a part of this eagerly anticipated event. It is expected that around 40 international headline artists will complete the line-up, many of whom are likely to get punters rushing to the website when the limited tickets eventually go on-sale.
The venue is located at an altitude of over 1,500 meters, in the remote village of Pragelato, at the heart of Northern Italy's Piemonte Region. Nestled in-between the panoramic valley along the Chisone River, approximately 1 hour drive from Turin, this venue boasts Olympic heritage, having hosted the Ski Jumping, Nordic Skiing and Cross-Country Skiing at the 2006 Turin Winter Olympics.
So imagine blue skies, crisp mountain air, 28 degrees and Europe's highest altitude dance music festival…
Welcome Vertigo.
