Van Buuren at Turnmills

Was anybody at Turnmills last Friday for Armin Van Buuren? I went especially to see him as I loved his set at Amnesia last year but I thought the sound quality in Turnmills was off??

Could not feel any bass and the top end was 'hissy' and very unclear. The mid sounded 'tinny' too. I love the top end and occasional singing in trance music but really couldn't make it out clearly, so ended up leaving early.

I am sure the sound wasn't that bad when I was there last, although I wasn't drinking much on Friday and don't do any drugs. It was like the sound you get with poor quality MP3s.

Did anyone else notice this about Turnmills or does it normally sound that bad?

I was there 8) My friend and i were actually commenting we thought it was BETTER than usual on friday :? Where were you dancing? unfortunately that will have a major effect on the quality of the sound :evil:, Turnmills is very bad for accoustics.

Had a top night too, a bit too busy for the start of Armin's set, but after 4.30 or so it was superb, one of my favourite sets of the year. :D
Once again Gallery didn't disappoint 8)
 
Thought it might have been the accoustics so tried few different places - around the edge, back of dance floor and middle of dance floor. I am sure it had good sound quality last time I was there so must be the accoustics.
 
I find the sound is better towards the back, its more basey.

hope its better for you next time 8)
