Valencia to Ibiza - Ferry or fly? Luggage?

Hi all,

I'm looking at my options for traveling between Valencia and Ibiza (21st Aug and 23rd Aug)

I've found flights with Ryanair that are about the same price as a ferry, the flight times are really good for maximising time on the island, but then they want around 50 euro per bag each way! That puts it at around 200 euro more than the ferry option.

The ferry option can take 4 to 6 hours according to one site I found. I just can't sit still for that long. Also, it's less time to spend in Ibiza. However, if they ferry ride is a good time, and an attraction in itself with sightseeing (?) it could be ok..

I'd like to know how you guys would travel at this time of year, and if there are options for reducing cost that I don't know about.

Are there places in Valencia that I can store luggage over the 3 days I'm in Ibiza? That way I could just take a carry on bag with essentials. I've only found info on bag minding at transport stations which are only between certain hours.

I'd love some help with this!

Thank you :)

All sorted - we're taking an overnight ferry on Thursday night that arrives in the morning on Friday, giving us a whole extra 12 hours and some much needed sleep :) Will get to hire a vehicle and check the island out!

Thanks - close thread if necessary :)
