What is the general vibe at Ushuaia, as I was thinking of seeing Sasha there?



What time does the parties kick off for and do they finish for midnight?

Also I presuming this is more expensive venue or similar to other big clubs like Pacha?

parties at ushuaïa start at 5pm and end at midnight. the vibe starts kicking off between 7 and 8pm usually.

drinks prices are the same as in pacha, amnesia etc.
 
Planning on going when Tensnake, MANDY, DJ Sneak and Sasha are on, and don't want to miss any of them. Might be raving on my own for a bit? :evil:

Kimajy IIRC said in a review that although drinks prices are similar to big clubs, spirit measures are far more generous...

nah it starts getting busy earlier than 8pm don't worry. it's just when the main buzz starts.

yup i can confirm you'll get a good dose of spirit in those drinks!

Similar measures to Space. Similar price. Red Bull is almost as much as a vodka redbull - but guess you could always ask them to put the vodka in a separate glass and give it to a drinker. Did that at DC-10 after I thought I was going to keel over if I had any more booze .. and resented letting them off the 1 Euro margin for the huge vodka dose that went with a vodka redbull over a straight redbull there !!!!

The bottled beers are tiny and way too much for what you get (imho). It was the Opening party last year where they were taking the mick and charging 18Euros for a single UK spirit measure in a premium mixer drink. Seems they're doing drinks more in line with everyone else now.

Dont worry about that i'll defo be there right from the start to finish. tensnake played an early set at eastern electrics and blew the tent to pieces !

And are they still doing the token offer on drink like they were at the start of the season?

Think it was buy 5 drinks get the 6th free. Or buy 10 get 2 free.

Not that much then... Maybe a UK double, triple if lucky. :evil:

I was hoping for a pint of (big measure) vodka/red bull Ibiza Rocks stylee. :twisted:

Mind you, if all goes to plan, the drink in my hand will be more for show. ;)
 
Who cares if you're there early? Look at that line-up! But seriously, even if you're there early you'll enjoy it. I went in about half 6 for one of Sasha's nights and the place was full enough for Damian Lazarus. Great place though even if it's not full you'll be able to enjoy the sun and the laid back buzz. They actually give you a good plastic glass for your drink instead of those flimsy ones aswell!

Is ushuaia a 'must do' in Ibiza? I like the idea of daytime clubbing and it looks good but was wondering what sort of crowd it gets and what people's thoughts are on it? Cant decide whether or not to give it a go or not.
 
if you haven't been, then definitely go. and get a personal opinion about it. i love the location and their production (shows, lighting, dancers). the crowd obviously depends quite a lot within the various nights...
 
Ushuaia was amazing. Was in the Hotel PDB on the 5th floor and watched every night with friends new and old August 15-23 - didn't even pay the surcharge! Those with the seaview at the front were angry they couldn't see the visuals. Fun being able to experience F*** Me I'm Famous without being in a ram packed Pacha, and the We Party Attacks Ibiza was perfect for an outdoor venue.

The crowd varies wildly depending what night you go. I like the Sasha crowd best, but that's just me. If you choose a night with music you like it's well worth doing - gorgeous venue.

Hope you enjoyed the great value experience and made the most of it, because next year, that whole hotel will be upgraded and refurbished to reflect the Ushuaia image. So no more cheap prices!!
