On Wednesday I play at a club in my hometown for the first time and the owner of the club told me that I should play a little bit of R'n'B for the first hour. Then I can play my house style. the problem is that I'm just into House.

Could you please tell me some good R'n'B or black music tracks, which would be good before playing Funky- Vocal-House. (if possible not too commercial)

Thanks for your help.

Bye

why dont you try to find a forum with that kinda music.....you will find lots and lots of underground tunes :)

"safe" tunes

Kelis - Trick me
Twista - Sunshine
Mario Winans - Never really was
Terror Squad - Lean back
Destiny´s child - Lose my breath
Houston - I like that
Akon - Locked up
Estelle - 1980

just to get you started ;) good luck, let us know how you did.

maybe use the basement jaxx remix of trick me on the changeover between rnb and house?! :!: :!: :!: ;)

Try a few Hip-House boots -

There's been loads knocking about recently - especially Missy Elliot ones - may well be good to bridge the gap and some of them are OK.

Bit of a same your told what to play really but then every man and his dog wants to hear the same old R'N'B or 'funky' house.

Beggars cant be choosers I suppose.

stick to yr own guns, and give it some full on sexy vocal house/us garage for 1st hour...

should be plenty of house mixes of r n b fodder available...

Maybe you should put some soft swedish r´n b tunes in there.

Promoe - Long distance runner
Blacknuss feat. Awa Manneh - All your lovin`

;)

I did it like you told me and I was happy that I didn't have to play R'n'B. There weren't that much people, but I enjoyed it very much. I hope I'll get a contract for residency there. Keep your fingers crossed for me :)
