Underground : Which night is best?

I know this has probably been asked a few times:). What time does underground open and close? Fancy going to see mathew johson on the 24th. Also do u pay on the door or buy tickets in advance? cheers.

Opens about 11pm It stays open until 4-5am, sometimes later. Depends on the night and how things are going. It can be very quiet until late some nights. If 24th is after Zoo project closing you'll likely get an overspill crowd in from that who don't want to do SNP at Privilege. This will definitely shape the mood in there.

Guys pay on the door and entry includes a free drink - no advance ticket malarky here .. this is a regular 'proper' little club rather than a commecialized superclub / brand !! Girls always get in free at Underground.

Saturdays can get to busy and ful of nob-heads from Zoo Project!

Disclaimer:
not calling everyone from Zoo Project a nob-head, although alot of people end up that way from past experience!

How bad is this nob-head situation? I am looking for alternatives for Defected on Saturday if funds are running low. Don't want to be running short for the grand finale at Circo Loco.

Some Underground devotees don't much like the British-dominated 'invasion' on Saturdays (Wednesdays too earlier in the season), preferring Thursdays & Fridays.

It's just a post-Zoo crowd, so busier and a little rowdier than the other days with a different average guest profile. Busier not always a bad thing - some other weekday nights the music has been awesome but the place almost too quiet.

Would definitely go anyway - very different to Defected and think you may like it...

i think we went on a wednesday and there was only a handful of english people there who looked like workers maybe. to be fair the whole place wasnt that busy but it didnt matter one bit. will def be going back

The last Wednesday "zoo" was on 31st August (the week before), so there would be no post-zoo crowd there the night you went - probably just the regulars !! Agree totally it doesn't matter much when it's not too busy - really nice venue even when it's fairly quiet and a firm favourite.

Plus you had Hubi & Marcus From WEEKEND club in Berlin playing the night you went .. lucky so & so !!!
