UK provisional driving lisence

Is this valid for use on Spanish roads under Spanish law? I like to think i am a decent driver, i have my 2nd test on 8th Sept, but unfortunately its a few days after i return and i really wanted to hire a car, or at least some kind of vehicle while i am in Ibiza. There are some great beaches and bars i'd like to visit during the afternoons without having to fork out for a cab everywhere.

Any help is appreciated.

Also what are your thoughts on the general safety of the road in Ibiza, what with me being an inexperienced driver.

Thanks in advance.

of course its not allowed. are there no other drivers amongst the group you are going with??

in the UK, isn't it the case that you can only drive with a provisional if there is a full licence holder in the car with you?? so surely you don't think the law would be much different in ibiza.:?

I think for most hire companies you have to have held a full licence for 3 years.

And usually over 21/23/25 too, depending on company.

For someone who hasn't driven on their own over here yet, I wouldn't recommend driving in Spain on your own, lol

Thanks All

I do have other drivers with me but i wanted to do my fair share if possible, and as you know, you cant always guarentee someone will be in a fit sober state to drive the following day!

Thanks for your help.

Btw, Im 24 (I know i should have learnt to drive years ago:oops: )

good point, especially with taxi drivers like the one that took me to the airport.. on the road. Nice guy, but was weaving back and forth cars like he was heating tyres on a race track.
