Hi, coming over in summer and wondered how strict clubs are on ID. Are they likely to check us and if so what forms of UK ID are suitable. I don't want to be taking my passport around. And preferably not my drivers license either.Thanks to anyone who can help.
 
Clubs never ask for id. If you have a ticket and look of age, you'll have no problems getting in. The same is true of most bars.

So unless you look like a twelve year old, leave your passport in the hotel and have a good time! ;)
 
Sorry Morbyd I beg to differ... my gilrfriend is 27 and gets asked for ID all the time. Admittedly she doesn't look her age. The UK isn't like the states where if you look under 30 you will get ID'd but it is getting that way. (and it will be the mother of all anticlimaxes if you get turned away from where you want to go)
