Two new free tracks...

Knatter

New Member
I recently finished two new tracks that I would like to share with you music loving people!! I've uploaded them to my domain and you can dl directly by clicking the links below. The style is trance, on the progressive, darker side. Both tracks are currently unsigned - I haven't really approached any labels with them yet, but if anyone wants to push them in the right direction, then please feel free to do so. :-)

Nice tunes man. I prefer gravitons myself, nice and deep with some quality pads.

crit:
I think the main riff should ease off a bit after a while and let the other instruments breathe a little. It felt like it dominated the mix a bit too much. Also i would allow a bit more time for mixing. Unless your track is intended for an intro its a bit annoying to have the bass and chords from the outset. I'd give it at least 0:45->1:00 before you bring the bass in. Take a listen to markus schulz's tracks, he always gives a decent length to mix in and out of the track. You dont want a dj to avoid playing your song because he cant mix it well :) I didnt like the clap that much in both tracks, the graviton one was overcompressed but didnt have any envelope applied post comp. The other track's clap just lacked power IMO.

Overall you have a very high production standard though, great effects and atmospherics. Good clear sound too.

Good luck

Hey thanks! Actually I also made another DJ version for Gravitons with 1 min of drums buildup. I'll use that version when I start bugging labels and DJs.

Btw Markus Schulz rocks!! Too bad he doesn't seem to play at Armada the week I'm on the island.

Really like Gravitons. Im usually a driving hard trance kindof person but I found myself really enjoying listening to it. BUT the lead synth line (that comes in about the 2 min 40 mark) does sound like another tune, from a couple of years back. Cant think what it reminds me of off hand, but Im sure its on something like Trance Nation 3.

Just downloading the other tune now.

I'll have to check that one out!
Btw, I'm soon uploading a new, more DJ friendly mix of "Gravitons". Longer buildup and longer peak at the end. I'll throw in a post here when it's ready for download.

Back from a week of intense clubbing... My brain hasn't adjusted to the swedish climate yet and as usual I got the Ibizerian flu during the last couple of days.

I brought some promos with my two latest tracks and gave to Sasha, Ferry Corsten, Judge Jules and one more DJ who's name I can't remember.

Ferry get's a promo:
