Wall of Sound's Mark Jones and Gee Street founder John Baker have teamed up for a new project that highlights the close link between electronic music and the dancehall. Some of the world's finest producers have collaborated with Jamaican reggae, ska, and dancehall musicians and vocalists at the Gee Jam studios to come up with the album 'Two Culture Clash'. The unique project acknowledges the Jamaican influence on modern day electronic music.

"The idea came to me of bringing together two cultures and musical forms that, since time, have influenced each other in their development and being. From the era of experimental dub and the masters of reggae through to million-selling modern day productions, from the sound systems evolvement to worldwide dj culture, electronics and the sound of Jamaica have forever been linked" says Mark.

Some of the artists involved with the project are Roni Size, Howie B, John Carter, Justin Robertson, and Cassius. These producers have been selected for their originality, quality productions and musical influence. Jamaican artists contributing to the album include Danny English, Miss Thing, Spragga, Big Youth, Junior Reid amongst. 'Two Culture Clash' is now in its finishing stage and is scheduled for release in the summer
