He was a SAW (Stock, Aitken and Waterman) puppet, so I wouldn't have thought so unless the women in question just lent him the bus fare to an audition.

Oh ya... like Wikipedia always gives you the whole truth and nothing but!

Doesn't rule out that story... could have been driving to pay the bills while performing on the club scene, and said woman could have alerted the talent scouts and bought the boy a decent trenchcoat :lol:
