This is a forum - people talk about whatever they like to and dont have to conform to other peoples limitations. What is horrendous about that tune??? Its proper uplifting dutch trance.

When you have produced a tune and had it played out by the 'number 1 DJ in the world' (fact, but not my personal opinion) at the biggest outdoor dance event on the planet I might bother to listen to what you say. Until then, please, shut it ;)

rofl i gotta agree with this. I do like a bit of trance now and then, much to comin's disapproval ;) but this is a real poor example of it IMO. Anyway, i tracked down the cue sheet/tracklist for the set your talking about and yes it was from 2000:

Some really nasty tunes in there. wahey! Also you were wrong in saying tiesto is the no.1 dj, technically he's is the most popular dj not the 'best'.

With regards to Tiesto being "number 1", thats why I put it in speech marks. I dont agree with him repeatedly being given the honour of the best DJ in the world when there are much better technically gifted DJs out there. All Tiesto can do is mix seamlessly - and yes, he can do it VERY well, and play some cheesy trance tunes. Thing is, Tiesto isnt just a DJ, he is a marketed celebrity. If you build enough hype about someone (or something), people will believe it (especially when many people cant actually remember how good a DJ was when they heard them the night before).

Omg there goes sum1 again ! hmmm if the dj is most popular im sure hes the most liked witch obviously makes him no1 even though i dont really have a no1 dj but i just disagree at that stupid ass comment lol !
 
Yes, your right - Tiesto is a marketed product - pretty much like Blazin Squad, Gareth Gates e.t.c.

And that p*iss poor link you put up was , I am sorry , complete s*hite.

I can imagine loads of cybered up twelve year olds dancing around to it.

And as for Tiesto being the 'No.1' DJ , as Dam0 said - the DJ charts are about as reflective of quality as the pop charts.
 
I'm not trying to be an a*rse and I know you like it now - but trust me , your taste will mature and you will see it for the tosh that it is !! :D :D ;)
 
another tiesto bashing thread...

i love some of his remixes. but then i saw him live and was not impressed. and wondered what the fuss was all about.

as simon cowell would say "distincly average".
