A few friends of mine were at Bora Bora yesterday (lucky them) and heard this remix of "Stand By Me" by Ben E. King (I am assuming). Does anyone know the track name and who remixed this???

Jurys out on it my end, half of me thinks that some songs deserve some more respect and be left alone, though the other kinds of like it's cheesyness, and the "out of nowhere"-ness of it all would probably make me smile :)
 
Thanks Brian, I like the song personally....As we figured, Hands Up for Detroit is played everywhere. Also, contrary to many peoples predictions, Party All the Time has been heard everywhere.....

I tried to look Stand By Me up on Beatport this weekend, but nothing came out of it. I will look it up by the Soul Power name and see what comes up.

How is your holiday going??? It's 9:49 am on Tuesday here, and I feel like shiat (too much candy on Sunday night :twisted: )
 
I actually learned a lot more about the song. Nanna, girl from Finland, knows the DJ at Bora Bora and he said his friend made the song with rights from the original creator. However, they don´t like it and he´s not supposed to play it anymore. The DJ played it at BoraBora and on the radio station out here and received a great response from it. We are having a blast, I have the flu right now so am a little under the weather. I really can´t wait for another Sunday´s at Space because that´s been the best place so far. What the hell were you guys doing on Sunday?!?!?!
