Transcend is a Trance & Progressive club night in Brighton for the South East of England.

Transcend is a club night in Brighton which has only a single goal: to bring back Trance music to the people of the city. It's time Brighton again had a regular Trance night. Time to be able to hear the music we know and love, from uplifting and euphoric to progressive and tech, without having to travel far away from home.

Be prepared to be taken on a journey through sound. To hear new, forward thinking music from some of the greatest producers in the business. To hear those classics that gave Trance it's true identity all those years ago.

Expect to hear our DJs playing the best songs of the genre and, as we grow, expect to see the DJs who produced those amazing tracks playing for us.

Every two weeks, we'll have our radioshow - A Higher State, uploaded here.

Welcome to the fifth instalment of A Higher State, our podcast for the Trance night that runs in Brighton, Transcend. (www.facebook.com/BrightonTrance)

Dan Ascherl personifies the purist trance underground. A DJ and Producer, Dan's devotion to dance music has seen him command dance floors across the UK while staying true to trance music's pure, more serious form. This approach has culminated in a joining of forces with legendary trance stalwart John 00 Fleming and his J00F Editions nights. J00F Editions stands alone as a new phenomenon, refocussing the night on extended sets, new DJs, and a back-to-basics clubbing approach devoid of faux VIPs and musical confection.
