trance advice

although i've been to the island 10 times i have never stepped into one of the superclubs...maybe cause i'm an old fart..maybe cause i hate the thought of being ripped off for drinks...anyways a work colleague has asked about a trance weekend...maybe ibiza maybe amsterdam..i'm sure you lot know a lot more than i do...suggestions welcome ...tia
 
cream at amnesia, thursday night
judgement sundays at eden, sunday night
a state of trance at privilege, monday night
colours at es paradis, tuesday nights

off the top of my head...

Ticket gives you Discounted entry in to ASOT, and free in to Colors.

Disclaimer: if you feel like an old fart generally - you will feel more of an old fart in Amnesia for Cream - its the only club that makes me feel like a geriatric :oops:
(but as always - only my opinion ....);)
 
I agree PL. most of the people there on my last visit could never have frequented Nation before the weekly saturdays stopped, I felt a bit long in the tooooth :D
Not that doesnt make it less valid for them to go or anything , there was incredible energy that night
 
Tropi Bar in San An west end is free with cheap drinks. Trance a house special there and a good vibe.

Colours@Es Paradis is free with a wristband and worth a look. Drink prices are moderate.

Reports from Asot are mixed but Cream continues to the best trance party on the Island.
 
ASOT parties from what I know and heard from others are amazing until Armin finished (around 5am) then the venue just dies and everyone leaves.

God yes ! I have had some tremendous nights trancing it away in Amnesia for Cream over the years and years of going - it's a must in the small room just to experience the cannon 8) but last 2 times I went I felt like I was the oldest by far - it's definately an experience if you get a great DJ that night and not to be sniffed at but I wouldnt go back again now - just because I dont feel right there anymore :cry: (but that's likely just my frame of mind...)

I've been to A STate of Trance when Armin wasnt even there and it was incredible!

Tropi bar in San An doesnt specialise in Trance but Joe spoons does!

Really? Tropi has always played Trance when I've been. Will have to go find Joe Spoons - where is it? (Or alternatively, show me on Monday before ASOT when I'm out again in Sept)

Glad that ASOT carries on without Armin. It was kinda shocking to see the number of people leave when Dash came on. I'm not even a fan of the Dash Berlin project, but I still stayed :lol:

Dash Berlin was incredible! I'm going again tonight (not to make u jealous!) Free guestlist too for doing so well at work the last few days :D

Joe Spoons is the irish bar. It's slightly further down the hill from Tropi and on the opposite side...It plays all trance and then like every 5-6 songs throws in an IRA song...very strange but good craic!

You have NO idea how much I want to go tonight for Schulz Only. :(
Nearly came out for it by the flights were just too damned expensive.
