train from san an

We all went on this, kids we able to get almonds off a bus at the carpark and took them back to the hotel to crack open and eat, The train driver is as daft as he was years ago when it was just hubby and I :) :) :)

Think there used to be a mineral rail track on Formentera, there's about 2m of the rail visible in La Savina (!!) - and the foot/cycle path is in more-or-less a straight line to the salt flats/lakes, Formentera had a rail track once. If so, then there could have been similar rails besides the salt industry in Ibiza - so trains on Ibiza isn't as absurd as it sounds (as long as we're stretching it a bit!)!

Think we can discount there ever being rail trains on Ibiza for tourists, April Fool's or not, but it would be nice if some Russian Oligarth has light rail as a hobby and re-institutes the line from La Savina to the beaches! However, I'm not holding my breath! Must be noted that there will be some banning of motor cars on Formentera which will make it harder for some to get around (now can we have our light rail or tram....??).

A quick bit of research;

I will add that even some of the remotest Scottish islands have had some kind of rail on them, not for passengers but to move minerals from the hills to the coast. Even Unst!
