Love the flightdeck view - followed one right into Ibiza (although it looked as though it was about to land between the runways!)
I can see this looking very basic in years to come when we have actual information and webcast coming directly from the plane itself, and the image is real (or, at least superimposed on 3D google earth).
Memo to Mr. Ryanair - install a cockpit webcam, no make that two - one focused on the crew and one on the view outside - and charge us a few quid for annual subscription. Make money, Irish guy - your faveorite topic!! I'd watch, although I'd prefer a classier airline than Ryanair!!
I'm pretty sure all the infrastructure is in place to make that happen - satellites, GPS, small HD cameras, transmitters....shouldn't be a problem?
As an aside, always wondered why a camera isn't on the tail looking towards the aircraft on constant record in case of accident. Could be a valuable assist to the black box??
