Was a BBC Micro man myself. .........well it did help enormously during my HND in Computer Studies followed by my BA Degree in Data Processing ;)

Was was it like writing on papyrus? ;)

I used to love the voice synthesiser on the BBC computers. You could do Steven Hawkins impressions all day long!! :D

I've heard that Hawkins does a great impression of a BBC computer. Meant to always do it when he's pished with his mates.

"Here Stevo, do the computer thingy mate!!"

Have to say,

Wonder Boy in Monsterland on the MegaDrive was amazing the first time I played it. As was Tomb Raider on the PS.

I remember Elite!!! 8)

I was a C64 junkie...

Never had Treasure Island Dizzy but liked the Fantasy World one.

Fave retro game??? Has to be Outrun. Why has noone mentioned this???

Anyone remember the Mastertronix games you could pick up in Smiths and Woolies for £2.99 - titles like 'Chiller', 'Henry's House' etc?

What else...errrr...I loved the Summer Games (1&2), Winter Games, California Games & World Games. 8)

...and in my Amiga days (soon to be gaining retro status)...

Rainbow Islands
It came from the desert
Monkey Island 1&2 8) 8) 8) <=== FANTASTIC!
Operation Thunderbolt

Can't be fookin arsed with computer games these days - they bore the t*ts off me.

Having said that though, I was quite impressed with that Grand Theft Auto thingy.

How can I forget Mastertonix!!

I used to go and pick berries, make enough for a game, go and buy it, play it to death for the next days then get a new one.

Occassionally I'd save enough for a game.

Got Double Dragon. Loved it, but so easy to complete!

Loved Outrun. You got a 2nd tape with it that had a soundtrack. Some of the choons were pretty good!

((Chase HQ??)_

I used to play that tape when I was about 7 and mix it up with all my fave Kraftwerk tracks like Model etc...it sounded very similar actually.

I can't believe someone else remembers those!!! Sea Breeze was my fave. 8O

Didn't know the names of the tracks, although, Sea Breeze does ring a bell.

I used to play the tape in my dads car. Class!

:D
