Basically the top 14 clubs in Europe have most of the worlds top international players playng for them so they're wanting some come-back / monetary return from International football...

I think its about time.

Valencia lost their central defender Alaya for about 3 months at the start of the season because he got injured playing some small poncy tournament. That might've cost them the Champions League place
