Okay i prob missed this... but what are your top 5 'choons'
be it for ibiza, or just for shaking your ass to when your getting ready to go clubbing!?

Okay i'm going 'Old School' for me anyhow!!

1 Sandy B - You Make The World Go Round (commercial classic)
2 Sneaker Pimps - Spin Spin Suger
3 Faithless - Insomnia
4 Paul Van Dyke - For an Angel (lover) was that white lable release only.. !?
5 and whatever is on MoS Annual II that goes

obviously they are all commercial.. but being fairly drunk and not really having the best of memories... there my top 5 (for now)

Disclaimer: i was drunked okay.. if i change my mind it was because 5 is not enough and i am liable to change my mind!!

Insomnia has probably some of the worst lyrics ever written.

It must of taken that Maximum Jizz or whatever his name is about thirty seconds to write them on the back of a fag packet.

Maxi j*izz sounds like a series of porn films! Agreed, that song may not have been the best lyrics but he's actually pretty good at the whole freestyle thing. Do you remember that massive mtv festival in ibiza 99? They played live and one of the camera men fell over a wire and took out the power to some of the keyboards etc. This meant that they either sat there for a few mins or played freestyle... I just thought it was pretty cool how he kept the gig going, he just asked the drummer to play a beat, then slowly the other musicians start comin in and jamming. I cant imagine britney spears doing that! But then again i wouldnt mind just watchin her for a few mins...... :lol:

Anyways, i love & hate insomnia... its a wierd relationship really. I would never listen to it at home and its one of those tracks dj's drop in cheesy clubs when things are going really wrong! i've got some good memories of being completely slaughtered and dancing away to this tune when i used to go out to the local cheesy clubs when i was 16/17. I think robo will join me on this one cos he knows exactly what club i mean! :D

Hmm my top 5 then.... I'd like to hear:

Kaskade - soundtrack to the soul (big city dub)
That cerrone track thats stuck in my head! (hooked on you)

cant really think of any others right now, i'm feelin crud at the moment!
 
Depends on what version you hear, live he is absolutely awesome, i remember being privaledged enough to get into th elynx voodoo eclipse gig a few years back and he was wicked there.

lyrics are one thing, for one time, but the memories that go with a song and the feeling it devolps deep inside your bones, is a complete and utter different thing

insomnia for me, is linked to some of the best times of my life, both emotionally and physically........ so i would never be able to criticise it.

but hey thats just me!!

How dare any of you slag of Insomnia. This was a pioneering piece of music many years ahead of its time. I hear you all saying it is cheesey and sure it is more common place in commercial bars and clubs these days. You must realise however that before this tune hit the charts it was a driving underground piece of genius that every DJ loved and played. In 1996 this tune along with Hysteric Ego - Want love tore apart Ibiza's dancefloors like no other tunes have done since. You cannot slate music that can make people react more than whatever your favourite tune is right now.
 
faithless have a new album out on 7th june.

seb played 3 of the songs from their forthcoming album on his show last night.

they sounded ok.
