I think my top five pieces of advice to fellow Americans on the island would be less anglo-centric and more focused on the island, the country it''s in, the music scene (please don't call house or trance "techno"!) and related topics. Maybe I'll contribute something later in the season!

i lived near a gigantic wwII american airbase and all the yanks who came over to the uk in the war and after were given a little booklet about the behavioural and cultural differences they would find in britain. it obviously worked as thousands of girls in the area became gi brides.
