He always plays at space opening, and closing. And this year he was giving 6! exclusive dates on sundays@space.


why?

Its not as if his terrace sets have been and are legendary. I saw him the other week on the terrace and was majorly dissapointed.

Now if morillo was giving 6 exclusive dates, it would be a different story.

I just don't get it, perhaps i'm missing the point all together. perhaps i'm caught him on a bad day.
 
We all thought he was really good at WLS @ Space opening. Maybe you caught him on a bad as you say. Either that or you need your ears testing :lol: ;)
 
He played the best set of the day at WLS in late June last year - he was a real stand out. I've been hoping to catch him again, but based on that performace I really rate him.
 
@ wls opening he was very good, really enjoyed his set..

maybe he had an off day, or people just have different tastes. Cos I'd rather see him than morillo at the mo, Morillo's so called teasing sets are boring me
 
I've always really enjoyed him at Space, he's not particularly groundbreaking but he gets everyone dancing :D

Same here mate!

I saw him at spaces birthday last year....he was nothing amazin, but had everyone dancin around the terrace...but reckon i could do that! ;)

That's the same way I felt about him last year.
 
Tom Novy is one if not THE best german house dj nowdays.

He can rock any given dancefloor and did so in the last time i saw him playing (Mayday @ Germany).

Not only that but also he's a good producer.

Really looking forward to see him coming September at WLS (19th of September).
 
i come from munich,novy's hometown and saw him very many times in different clubs.
last year at el divino/eivissa and sage club/berlin he was great.he is also resident at "we love sundays@pacha island" in munich-one of the best party's here in town.
nevertheless there were one or two times,he was really bad.if he has a bad day,he plays a really boring sound,but...
...is it possible to have a bad day in space??? :D
 
Saw him at Space and in Switzerland several times.
He is a good producer. He has the right connetction (e.g.MTV) but as a DJ in Space, forget it. In state of mixing and communicate to the dancefloor he put a record (a nice one, maybe a little bit commercial that make the people dance) and then he is waiting the end of the record (7-8minutes). During this time he enjoy to be a "famous" DJ talking to his friend in the DJ booth and sometimes looking at the crowd thinking "look at me I'm the number one!" When the record is finished he put the next one. I think he could learn more looking at DJ like Morillo, Carl Cox or Cassius. Saw Cassius in July at Space on Sunday afternoon, this is what I call communicate with the dancefloor and make people screaming. If someone was there, knows what I'm talking about. Or even Morillo is amazing on the Terrace (e.g. Space Opening or Closing).
Sorry Tom you should come down to earth again and try to be a little bit innovative while you are mixing!
