Looking back at the last year at Pin-Up we've had the oppurtunity to showcase many DJ debuts in Sheffield to the Pin-Up massive...the response to these names has been nothing short of incredible especially when you count the likes of Nic Fanciulli, Krysko and Martin Solveig amongst them. This week will be no different...
It is with great excitement that we present to you yet another Sheffield debut in the form of
TOM NEVILLE ...
Currently being man of the moment within UK house DJ ranks is no mean feat but he got there through sheer talent bursting out from his productions and remixes and some stupendously good DJ sets at UK's best clubs. He burst into our lives over a year ago with the smash "Just f***" and quickly became remixer du jour with Kelis's "Milkshake", Moloko’s "Cannot contain this", Khia's "My Neck, My Back" and the current HUGE single Studio B's "I see girls"under his wing. His current single "Buzz Junkie" is a completely filthy slice of quality house and more is to come with supposed collaborations with Serge Santiago, Mylo and Mark Knight in the pipeline.
Not wanting to rest on his laurels of being known as "the next big thing" , he has proved that he is not just a fierce remixer but also in the crop of truly amazing new DJs that have emerged lately. He is currently resident (and surely a key proponent in the current revival) of the Saturday Night Sessions at Ministry of Sound.
Joining him tonight is one of our favourite Manc DJs
JOHN FITZ
A quality DJ , multi talented musician and burgeoning producer he currently holds a residence at 2 Risque alongside his partner in crime Jason Herd. He has been signed to Subliminal and also is about to embark on a worldwide tour with the Body Rockers....with "I like the way" destined for a high chart position I'm kinda looking forward to seeing him on Top of the Pops at some point (heh heh!)....coming back to our favourite Friday night activity ...he WILL be the perfect warm-up for what is set to be one truly hot event!!
