To buy tickets or not to buy?

What are people's opinions on pre-buying tickets for Ibiza?

Thinking of doing the following nights when I am out there for the 12th to the 17th of June.

Friday - DJ EZ - WAR - Presale tickets are already on this website.
Saturday - Ants - then El Row - have heard that you can get free wrist bands to go to El Row at Ants?
Sunday - Maybe Solomun + 1 or Steve Lawler
Monday - DC 10 + Amnesia

What do the veterans on here recommend?

I obviously couldn't disagree more with the comment just above...

as to the original question:

WAR - if you're sure you're going, get your ticket now. you won't find any better deals. and if you change your opinion you can still cancel that ticket until 24hrs prior to the event and get a full refund.

ANTS and el row - ants isn't on sale yet. elrow is. not sure if they still do wristband deals, but maybe they do. keep in mind that with all those wristband deals you'll have a 'latest in by xx' rule.

solomun+1 - definitely no wristband deals for this. if you wanna go, get your ticket. you won't find anything cheaper on island. as for viva warriors, it's one of sankeys' busiest nights, so I also tend to think they don't do wristbands. If I had to choose between those two, I'd opt for solomun, it's currently the best night at pacha hands down. also, if you do WAR at sankeys on fridays, you'll get free entry to shelter at sankeys too so you already have one sankeys visit included.

dc10 - buy on the door, simple as. pre-sale on RA isn't cheaper than at the door (exception as normally buying at the door is the most expensive option) and therefore I really don't see the point of getting the ticket beforehand. cocoon, again, if you're sure you'll go, get the ticket beforehand. you won't find it cheaper on-island.

Simple: if it's absolutely nailed on that you're 100% attending, then buy in advance online.

Personally I mix it up (depending on the length of my stay) so I have a little bit of flexibility and my visit seems at least semi-organic.

If you're only going for a few days, and you're definitely hitting parties X, Y & Z then buy from Spotlight. No question.

If you're going for 5-days to a week or longer, apply the above to the main parties you can't miss but leave a few days/nights open and go with the flow.

I used to buy them religiously but don't bother any more as there were times during the holiday i just couldn't be bothered going out so the money was lost. As far as El Row goes we got wristbands that got us cheap entry before 2am last year so if you are doing Ants you can enjoy that, go for a few drinks or go back to hotel and freshen up then head into Space

I never buy tickets in advance anymore, you don't actually save anything, plus there is always a chance you may find a cheaper alternative on the island, I remember chatting to a bar owner once having a drink, and he said he was going to pacha on his own and was able to me and the gfriend in as well, which he did!

Another thing with buying in advance, is the chance you just wont be up for it when the time comes, I remember the Annie Mac thing at the Dalt Villa a few years back, we had hit it so hard at DC10 the night before, we just couldnt be bothered to go, so that was a waste of money really!

Don't confuse being able to wangle guestlist with ticket prices!! You can't bank on the former. Particularly if you have no contacts.

And to say "you don't save anything" is incorrect. You do. Maybe only €5 odd, but to some people every cent helps! ;)

Thanks all for your input - much appreciated!

The big debate that we have internally as a group is the Sunday night plan. We think that the music might be a bit more to our tastes at Viva Warriors (more of a party/ravey affair), but appreciate the spectacle and grandeur that Pacha has, as well as the reputation, may be too good to miss. Do enjoy aspects of Solomun's sets that I have heard.

Will get on the case with WAR tickets ASAP.

I always buy tickets off ibiza Spotlight for nights we really want to do, helps budget once there because you know you don't need to pay for those tickets plus most have a 24 hour cancellation with ibiza spotlight so if you change your mind nearer the time you can cancel and get a refund or well they used to don't know if it's still the same...?
