A new one from The Master himself. Looks very "Nightmare Before Christmas"-esque... and the voices of >sigh< Jonny Depp and the amazing Helena Bonham Carter. YAY!!

ps. Sil, maybe a new statuette for your desktop? ;)

PachaGirl, we saw Charlie two weeks ago, I loved it, so Pop, so Burton, so Cool :D :D :D :D
We saw the trailer of that Bride film... Will start to surf the net for a little statute for my desktop

Burtonis a master. Looking forward to this one... the buzz has been quite good.

Still need to watch my pirate DVD of Charlie though... haven't gotten around to it yet.

AAAH Modernized Charlie was so much fun. I heard some people afterwards that were sort of "complaining" that it was a little "too dark", but what do you expect when it is a Tim production, you know? He makes it a little eerie, spooky, insane... because that is the type of thing that gets under your skin, whether you are in to that style or not.. Sure, the original Charlie with Gene Wilder was pretty shiny and happy, but I still think it had some dark undertones (hence Augustus drowning in the chocolate river, Veruca falling down the pit of golden eggs etc.). Tim played off that and it was just my (our) style.

Yep looks like some fun statuette possibilites Sil... the trailer looked like it had some pretty great characters.

I have no idea why that repeated

I will watch Charlie this week while the missus is away and I have the house to myself.

Saw Mr & Mrs Smith last night... mildly entertaining fare. Not much in the way of acting but plenty of explosions. Vince Vaughn was entertaining as usual.

Watching Jolie and Brad is enough "entertainment" for me  :P

Ironic how they are dating now and their co-star Vince is rumored to be hangin' with Jen Aniston :?:

Well done, Vince! I like Jen (doesn't everyone?) and feel she was hard done by Brad. He, meanwhile, won't last long with Jolie. She's not a long-term relationship type.

Nah, don't think she is. She seems to be a great mom, but relationship-wise, could be a dif story. I haven't gotten the chance to watch too much TV lately, but have been hearing that Angelina's had a few meltdowns as of late. She's unsure of her relationship, can't handle the taboo media portrayal of her being the "other woman" etc.

Brad was raised a good ol' Indiana boy... wonder what they have in common besides the Hollywood scene..... :?:

Sweet. Burton & Depp...can't go wrong. ;)

Jason, did you see the Inside the Actor's Studio on Bravo with Depp? He oozes the most captivating charisma. He was also gushing all kinds of praise for the fab Burton... it was obvious that they both have immense respect for each other's craft and a very tight friendship. It was also interesting to hear Jonny's methods for absorbing himself in a character... he uses all kinds of visualization techniques and pulls from his memory bank... a fascinating individual.

And he's f-'n HOT HOT HOT hahahha

I caught the tail end of it. I need to search for it on the Tivo and record it.
