Tiesto at Pacha?

I also heard Tiesto may have signed up to take over from the Swedes in Pacha? Anyone in the know hear anything about this? Could even be a straight swap, SHM to Privilege and Tiesto to Pacha?
 
heard this also. would make sense, tiesto night at privilege is dead these days, he cant fill the place. pacha smaller plus all the 17 18yr old 1st timers will be all over it. dont think SHM will go to privilege though.

It's never been full, but It's always been pretty rammed when we've been, the last three years running.
Another two rumours to go with this is taking over Amnesia Tuesdays, or maybe an afternoon at Ushuaia.

I also heard it but the source isn't the most legit one... I don't think Tiesto would fill up the VIP area like SHM though...

Really? And why not????

You forget that SHM are gone and they won't be back anytime soon, so this is moot point.

Name another act that will be able to fit in their slot and have even close to the VIP pulling power that Tiesto has?

You forget that this is a man who has ditched his "Don of Trance" mantra, is producing music for A-list rappers, started the Vegas EDM invasion and is now making more commercially accessible electro/prog house music. Mix that with his already acclaimed previous success and background, not to mention the ego of the man AND he has his toes dipped in the Ushuaia scene (albeit only briefly last year), and Tiesto is a shoe-in to fill that VIP more than any other act - apart from perhaps the Swedes - but which I have already mentioned is irrelevant.

Interesting enough I hadn't even considered Tiesto for Pacha until I saw a "rumour" on these forums a few days ago, but it would kind of make sense for both parties. Moreso than a switch to Amnesia, which, lets face it, would be a perennial step backwards for Tiesto. A previous residency to a smaller club.

Granted, Pacha is immensely smaller, but Pacha's whole pull revolves around their decadence and class and the crowd they bring - another reason that VIP will be banged out if Tiesto goes there.

Pacha + Tiesto (if it comes to fruition) = commercial win , whether you like it or not.

You do put a few good points forward, and don't get me wrong I actually like Tiesto. I just didn't really think Tiesto would have the VIP pull that SHM did, I may be completely wrong!
 
Privilege cannot afford to loose Tiesto so will fight to keep him there. If Tiesto leaves and they dont get SHM, their future would not be good for its present form.
 
Isn't Tiesto playing electro these days?

If he is then I guess the music won't be changing between him and SHM.
 
Tiesto and SHM sets are very similar so the music wouldnt change much. I defo think Tiesto has the VIP pull. Tiesto + Pacha seems ridiculous at first but the more that you think about it the more it would work.

I think Tiesto a few years ago would of been, now? Yeah, I think it'd work.
As mentioned previously, look at his pull as places like Vegas.

Shouldn't Pacha be looking for the next big thing? Would they really want Tiesto, the old boys on Tuesday, Eric. Tong etc and even Guetta..... Hardly looking to the future....

I'm no Tiesto fan... but my best friend... absolutely loves the guy (think it is mainly to do with the fact he is dutch... but anyhow)... and she met some lads last year... I think they paid something stupid like 1000 euros a bottle in the VIP.... and she said it was full... so clearly he does have this kind of pull.

Anyhow... could be a nice twosome... Pacha and Tiesto... not the sort of night I would go to though...

table service/vip started around at 500 - 550 euros minimum spend for 2 people last year for Tiesto last I had heard...
