Tickets Paid for, but card now lost, refund question?

Hi, i purchased a load of tickets for a few clubs, but decided to cancel one of the dates and change to another. The card i paid on has been lost, AFTER i cancelled the tickets but BEFORE the refund has been paid into my account. The card has been cancelled and a new one is in the post. My question is, do spotlight only pay back to the card that was used to pay? will i lose my money? or will the bank automatically sort that all out as its classed as a "pending payment" into my account? I do not have a lot of experience with this sort of thing, and wondering what your views and opinions are on this?

Im looking to use the money to purchase tickets for a different date once the money is back in my account.

So, the questions remains, will the payment "bounce back" to Ibiza spotlight, and will i need to speak to them about getting the refund paid to my new card once it arrives? or can it be paid straight into my account if i provide account details etc?

I'm surprised, danraver ... refunds are reversals of transactions and retailers sometimes have issues not refunding to the same card used for original purchase. When I've had this in the past the card issuer simply transferred the refund to the new card account on receipt of the refund from the retailer. Have they received the refund from Spotlight ?
 
hi dan, i think in this instance we might have to make a bank transfer.

however there could be other solutions:
1) if you were to buy the tickets again, we could simply refund the difference to your new card. that way you still only pay once.
2) we might even be able to reinstate your tickets and change the date. roberto is the man for that!

contact roberto at tickets (at) ibiza-spotlight.com quoting your order number and the problem and he shall sort. we never keep the money in these situations, we just don't work like that! :)

The bank hasnt recieved the funds and the card was only cancelled on the same day the refund was requested, unfortunately.

I have been in touch with Roberto, who i'd like to say has been very prompt with his replies and seems very helpful.
The 4 x WE LOVE tickets i have cancelled, i literally just want to change the date from 7th July to 14th July.
The tickets are the exact same price, so if they were to be reinstated and the date changed that would be the best all round solution i feel.
Then i can proceed to purchase 4 tickets for Cocoon on 8th July once they are available and once my new card arrives! :)
 
Just to update and finish this thread. Myself and my bank got it wrong. The money has indeed been refunded back into my account. Thanks for the time and replies Kimajy and James.
