Have ibiza had any decent thunderstorms or rain recently?

Am in ibiza in a week or so for two weeks and would be cool to see one of their nasty storms.............

Hi,

Haven't had any rain since approx. end of May, then it wasn't a lot. I don't think we'll get any until end of August or beginning of september now. Then hopefully a really good Storm which should clear the air for the end of the season.

Suzie, you must have had your eyes shut second week of July, I clearly remember counting 15 large droplets when I was in the sea!

I take it thats its unlikely to see any spectacular thunderstorms in august then??

I would expect at least a few through the summer as the heat builds up - and boy is it building!

on the internet weather forecast for today was thunderstorms, but looking outside it doesn't look likely at the moment.
About 2am this morning the winds got quite blustery, it was absolutely gorgeous after working in my mates kitchen in 50degrees centigrade in front of a kebab machine most of the night.

I experienced thunderstorms in Aug and definately in September when in Ibiza........ last year's was spectacular - middle of Sept, in fact quite scary!!!

I was on the last flight that took off through the storm! We had seatbelts on for an hour. Not the best way to deal with a post ibiza comedown. Scary wasn't the word.

I was on the last flight that took off through the storm! We had seatbelts on for an hour. Not the best way to deal with a post ibiza comedown. Scary wasn't the word.

That'll be fun if it happens to me when I get on the plane straight after Space and a 48 bender!

Anyone have a link to the story by the punter who was nearly washed down a sewer during an insane storm in Ibiza a few years back? There's a photo of him sick and giving the finger to the cameraman. The story he wrote about his worst vacation ever will give you an idea of what it's like when rains in Ibiza.

I was in Privilege for the Manumission closing party one year when all the power went off for over an hour and the downstairs area flooded during a massive storm.
