where some guys have been accused of planning terrorist attacks. they are supposed to have been plotting to blow up 'one of the best known nightclubs in central london'

has anyone read which one it was meant to be??
 
Scary thought.

But judging by how much bouncers are searching for drugs these days, I think a bomb should be easier to find.. I hope!!

"On Wednesday, Mr Waters told the Old Bailey: "Jawad Akbar referred to attacks upon the utilities, gas, water or electrical supplies.
"Alternatively, a big nightclub in central London might be a target." Mr Akbar said: "The biggest nightclub in central London, no one can put their hands up and say they are innocent - those slags dancing around," according to the prosecution."

That's part of a trial at a few Underground Stations to stop people taking knives on the Underground :?

:lol: Dunno then :? I know they've started putting metal detectors at some stations after that poor bloke got stabbed coming out one in West London one night :cry: The number of knives that they were finding was scary, I mean when you go on the tube do you do your checklist of 'oystercard, mobile, money......oh and mustn't forget my knife 8O '

BTP (british transport police) are currently trialling various pieces of equipment at assorted locations around the country. they are being paid for by the private companies which supply the equipment. At paddington currently, people on the heathrow express are having to go through airport stylee x-ray machines. it is causing huge delays and inconveniences and is soon to be ditched.

i predict that later in the year they will announe that due to 'budgetary constraints' these trials will not proceed to impementation.

re the 'plans to blow up a major nightclub'

is that the same kinda evidence as that guy who was arrested last year for having an long beard and a Man U season ticket which gave rise to those 'plot to bomb old trafford' headlines' which turned out to be absolute rubbish?
