Check out my new website www.thebeachtowelclip.com for this summers must have beach accessory and who knows if I see you on Talamanca using one I may get the beers in!!

3 Years ago whilst sat on Talamanca beach with nothing more to worry about than "where shall we eat tonight? and why does my beach towel keep blowing away?" I had one of those eureka moments.
Rather than do nothing about it I decided to give it a go.
So after a career change and months of very hard work, 3d models, prototypes, factory visits, packaging and website designs it has gone live!

update... since being listed on here (thanks if you then went on and bought some!!) they have featured in the Sunday Times, The Sun, SKY TV and several windsport magazines listed as one of this summers must have gadgets!!

No it was a complete change from my 20+ year career as a buyer!

I didn't want to be one of those people who spent the rest of his life thinking 'what if?' every time I sat on a beach!

Its been a great experience and I could only have done it with fantastic support from various organisations and too many people to mention!
 
good luck with it, although in the past I've seen people hold down towels with other kinds of hooks like tentpegs, or heavy stuff they already had with them, so you may find your market limited, if people aren't arsed to fork out. Having said that, my ex runs a site selling table hooks, to hang stuff when you're in restaurants/cafes, and that has taken off
 
cheers, the very first design did use tent pegs with a separate clip. the problem was the tent peg rusts in the sand due to the salt and you wouldn't have been able to buy them at airports as it would have been a lethal weapon!!
