This story made me VERY angry

Scumbag, I'd love to give someone like that a good hiding!!!

On a different but equally sad note, the "naked rambler" got banged up for 3mths yesterday

Would you like to join my crusade in hunting him down?

We only have to wait 2 months 'til he's out on 'good behaviour'

Horrible.

For some reason, this brings out a worse reaction in me than if it was done to a person! 8O

Same here Rob, same here.

At least a human can understand what horrors a person is capable of and what is happening to them. Even a child to a lesser degree.

I wish i hadn't heard the story now :( The only reason i put it on the forum is to remind everyone what sick f***s roam our streets.

Dogs aren't people. It's basically a property destruction case, from an objective point of view, like if he'd smashed some windows on your car or something. I think the sentence given, minus a bit of time for good behaviour, is probably appropriate.

You can't honsestly be serious John?

Personally i think it should be treated as murder or at least man(dog)slaughter.

We are animals too and all deserve to same rights to LIVE on this planet.

8O

I think animals should be treated better than humans if anything, they depend on us so much, who are we to thik it's ok to beat them, break their legs and smash their teeth in? People like that make me sick, they're truly inbred, ignorant scum.

Don't talk about childs, Drew.
We had two very serious cases of child abouse this month, a 6 months baby with traces of cocaine in his blood and a five years girl who has been in coma for 2 months and who will have serious permanent damages thanks to her step father. Do you think they will ever understand? THe whole country is in shock

There was a case here not so long ago of a 2 year old boy who died after drinking his mother's heroin substitute.

Shocking! 8O

I agree, it is terrible.

But, again to some degree i.e. depending on the circumstances, a child can be emotionally rehabilitated and educated to understand their abuse. A human who has suffered can also use their experience to help others in their position.

Morbyd! I'm shocked (but hoping that you're trying to kick up a Friday furore! ;) ...bit more difficult these days without x-amount though isn't it?)...so with that in mind I'll spare you the rant. ;)

Whilst these child abuse cases are all terrible, I don't think it's right to compare the severity. A life is a life and no one has an authority to dictate which of these is more worthy.

Personally - I'm all for supporting these types of cases because so few people do! I'm not belittling these cases by any means but children have social services and about a billion charities. Animals (arguably) get little in comparison.

Only the other day I read a story about a doggy who had been taken to a forest, tied to a tree and burned alive. Thankfully though, the emergency services are taking the treatment of this doglet (aka 'possession ') very seriously.

I ate dog meat once (maybe even twice.... had some suspect shish kebab once )

Tastes just like beef
