having lived in Japan, this is no surprise. The have been hunting dophins for centuries.

Its not just animal rights but social rights, womens rights etc.....are all very much a big joke in Japan.

There's been a very long debate on another board where about this petition.

Signing the petition will have very little effect although I understand the sentiment. I'm sure you do this already Babs, being a veggie, but others should note the need to buy tuna that has not been caught in a dolphin harming manner.

Also those of us who eat anything other then humanely killed free range meat should be perhaps consider the plight of those creatures too.

I try to eat free range etc when I'm at home but I still give in to junk take aways when I've had a few beers out. I hoping to change that over time.

The impression from the 'other place' was that a lot people clicked the petiton only thinking about the hunters behaviour without considering their own. That's had some influence on what I eat.

This is another one of many barbaric incidents that occur all over the world. The internet highlights these and makes us more aware and it does make you think that this country is not all that bad really. What can our government do to intervene? Probably nothing because it does not involve money or oil!!!
