Their annual pay review is due end of this week, yet all some of 'em have done is play me up all week

How stoopid can you get?

P.S. What is the current level of inflation?

We have to review it but not necessarily give them anything.

Problem is i like to pay each staff level the same rate, which isn't really fair because some have a much better attitude than others.

The alternative is to pay each person what we think they deserve but we've done that before and they do nothing but bicker

The staff with the worst attitude are the ones on the highest level. They take their position for granted, but if i get shut they are the ones with most experience.

Difficult balancing act.

:(

The joys of staff...

I'm employee myself but my mom and my sister run a family business with 7 workers so I know what are you talking about ;)

What do you do then Drew??? Is it your company? How many staff do you have exactly? 8O

Commercial landscaping on a fairly large scale.

It is me and brother, but he spends most of his time overseeding contracts out on site.

I/we have 26 staff exactly!

Every cloud has a silver lining - a guy came down today and offered us £2.5M for the land! :P

Worth considering but we can earn that many times over by staying in business. Suppose we could relocate but would probably cost the same.

I ran my own PR shop for a while when I lived out in Kazakhstan with as many as 15 employees.

Have you ever tried having people do self-evaluations? What a joke
