This is a bargain right?

Just bought a 2nd hand desktop HP from work for a £50 donation to charity. My computer is about to die (although I've been saying that for years) and has no memory left so I guess this is quite good value right?

2 Ghz Celeron
40 gig HD
504 MB RAM
CD ROM
14 inch flat screen monitor
Ethernet thingy
USB ports (think one of them is 2.0)
2 to 3 years old, been used in an office
Windows XP
 
Are you allowed to get your works old computers?? I thought there was some sort of leguslation that stopped that from happening.

Possibly because I'm making a donation to charity it's different? Dunno, never heard of that legislation.

Still, I'm guessing by the stunned silence that £50 is worth it.
 
if i knew about laptops and computer id love to tell you, but im affraid 2 Ghz Celeron could be a new type of drug for all i know!

in a small firm in Oxford.

The computer's been sitting waiting for a home for a while - usually the old computers get donated to this charity who sells them on for next to nothing. Instead I just make a donation. Recently most of the office was upgraded so lots of spare stuff going.

Great Scott !! 8O 8O Don't you know that messing around with the space time continuum (sic?) is extremely dangerous :spank: and could lead to crazy adventures such as having to perform a rock and roll number at your own parents High School Dance or tipping manure on a bullying oaf in the wild west circa 1870 ?????

Or do you require the flux capacitor for a differing cause - if so continue as before.
