The swimming pool in the sea......gone!

Was there this time last year, so has someone gone and nicked it :(

Natch I'm describing the loss of the half-decent swimming pool in front of Ibiza Playa hotel in Figuretas, which extended out to sea. Gone. It is no more...etc etc. And it's been replaced by an ugly slab of mud.

Has it gone because it was uneconomical to run, or because of planning laws (or any other reason)??

Will it ever be back??
 
This has been a long standing issue,with appeals etc finally exhausted the hotel had to give in.
It's supposed to be a part of the new prom along the beachfront,other pools and terraces are also due to go.

As it happens,I think they have done a fair job of leaving it as it is for the time being (funny waves)

Thanks for the info - so it won't be back :-(

With all the red tape, permissions, appeals and everything, I'm surprised anything gets built anywhere in Spain. Perhaps everyone should be staying in mud houses or tents??
 
it's no different than the uk as far as getting permission to build goes, the major difference is building more than you have permission for, or in a different place, or not having any permission. eg cretu's place
