The Rise of Low Cost Airlines to Ibiza

Not to mention the Jet2 flights from the north. Its a perfect 3/4 night destination from the UK, 2 - 2 1/2 hours flight time. Who wants to be stuck on a plane for any longer? Just booked nect years flights for a 4 day break in Sept for £100 each all in. Only 11 months to go, that winter break may be on the cards but no winter flights from the north west :(

i have been doing it this way for years now.not with lowcost airlines but what was the 4 big ones.(now 2).if you can time it right you can get a flight for little as £89.00.i have had 10/11/14/15/16/18 day breaks doing it diy.sometimes i fly out with one company and back with another.so i am able to get the odd funny days i need.or flying out from my airport ema and flying back to robin hood.

I'd much rather DIY than go to the travel agents - it's much more satisfying to know that you've planned your own break.

I just wish Stanstead wasn't the only airport that ran flights to IBZ during the winter :(

coming from northern ireland is kind of annoying as i have to get 4 flights in total but it's still worth it and costs only around £90 if planned well and in advance...

Gatwick isn't cheap whichever way you slice it.

To get flights at sensible times (ie to get in after 11 am before 9pm) regardless of weekday, its painful. Ive tried using Easyjet - dear

and using Thomas Cook one way monarch the otehr or easyjet with either.

I used First Choice once one way

Easyjet trashed my sax too and refused to pay for it!!

Ryan Air is soo cheap it's not funny. The owner has plans to cut more costs, like feet space and any other conveniances and make flights cheaper.

I'm waiting for the Day Trip.
Let's face it, it's practical for those living near airports such as Manchester, and a flight to Ibiza is as quick as the train to London.
Leave Manchester 8am, arrive Ibiza 11.30 (straight off and to the beach for 12.30 tops), while you're on the beach the plane can be doing a return-trip for the long-stayers, and then your return flight @ 8pm back in Manchester 9.30pm, thru' immigration and onto he train/bus home at 10.
Reckon there would be enough demand to get the fare down to £60 or less.

last november ryanair were doing the flights for £2.50 each way with no taxes etc... it would have been a tenner for 4 flights for me but i couldn't get it off work.. :(

1. I take it you're not a tree hugging hippy?

2. Would the tights go on the day trip?

We went for a long weekend on the above, it was just perfect:) No such luck this year, at least not up to now,:( and time is running out!

i think ryanair have done away with the ridiculously cheap ( £5 or less ) flights which is a shame...
