The Perils of Facebook

Was minding my own business at work whilst on my lunch break having a flick through Facebook as you do when suddenly my boss comes over. She says to me do you have a password for this, by this she meant do I have an account. I said well yes.

She then says would you see if my daughter is on there as she tells me shes not but I have a funny feeling she is and I want to see what shes up to.

My bosses daughter is about 13, likes the odd gig, but my boss seems like the very protective mother, its understandable shes her oldest and shes probably trying to protect her from certain things etc etc but she does seem the protective type.

Anyway I managed to find her daughter, my boss then says to me can you please add her as I want to know if she accepts you then she could be accepting anybody (I think my boss is thinking dangerous boys type thing) - I was thinking I REALLY dont want to go down this road.

Anyway I was forced to add her (well not forced but you know what I mean, what could I say). Went on there this morn and her daughter has actually accepted my friend request.

My boss has now asked me to see if she has accepted it.

What a tangled web to be in :spank:

You just added me.... your boss isn't my mum is she? ;)

Ha ha.

No sadly not.

Its awkward because her daughter obviously has her own life, and keeps things from her mum which is I suppose is good and bad in a way.... depending on what she gets up to.

But then I do know what its like to be 13!

Tell her mum she accepted and then sent you a message claiming she was 19 and showing great interest in whether you were a 'girl who likes girls'

Oh I don't envy you Emma. I think I would have said no. I suppose it could be worse, she could have asked you to add her husband :lol:

I must be old

Why anyone wold want to post a load of personal info about themselves on the internet and risk ID fraud, stalking and worse just mystifies me....:?:

I'd rather sit down on the raggy end of a pineapple....
