Im really angry at myself today for letting myself go over the last year. Even more pi$$ed off that none of my summer clothes from last year fit me properly.

Seeing loads of slim people in lovely summer clothes is really making me upset so ive got to do something about it.

Ive NEVER been able to stick to a diet and have never been able to lose any weight, its just gone up gradually.

I know that i have to push myself more at the gym because i dont want to just firm up, i need to be loosing weight.

Wish me luck because im really going to need it :?

Good luck! Or more than anything you'll need self control.

Losing weight is really hard for women, I guess biologically we need the fat, but it sucks. It's a lot easier for men to lose weight and gain muscles. It's not fair :?

its so hard, ive lost 2 stone since Jan which is great but it was a nightmare and its even harder to try and keep it off. I used Weight Watchers and it really does work and plenty of walking

Am starting my strict diet today too, so I'll be joining ya. Good luck girly, to keep your will power up keep trying on those clothes that dont fit, it'll keep you in this frame of mind ;) only eat when you're hungry dont eat for the sake of eating, snack on raw veg ;) lots of chicken boob salads for dinner 8)

cut out snacking, drinking, do more cardio, have more rough sex.

Going to stop drinking wine :!: and the snacking will stop too.

I also think i need to do the little and often thing :?

Seriously babes, do what I did - no carbs after 5 or 6pm - been doing this on a 80% of the time basis (20% of the time being a bit naughty) I have kept over a stone off since Jan (unheard of for me as I fluctuate quite a bit) all I did was cut out the bread, pots, rice and pasta after that time..... AND you feel so much better for it, you sleep better, you feel brighter - you could take it to the next level and only eat wholemeal carbs through the day and lose more weight but I am quite happy with what I have achieved so far......

PS dont forget the 2 ltrs of water a day too! Cut out the caffeine and fizzy drinks and you will be on your way...

excellent advice everyone, thanks.

Chew - I will ony ever use my grilling machine from now on when it comes to cooking meats.

Leese - Chicken boobs will have to be seasoned but i will be eating a lot more of it with salads.

PL - I have thought about your carb thing and i will give it a go, at the moment im going to try and cut the pots out with meals and just have veg instead. The bread thing is easy, i only really eat it at lunch times and its always wholemeal anyway.

Thanks everyone :D

I do follow the same rule than puppy, no carbs after 5pm and it works. Also, the stronger meal must be always for lunch cos it becomes energy to follow the day, while if you have a big meal at night you don't burn it, if you know what I mean.
Diary products like cheese and all that is very fattering too.
Drink lots of water, have a piece of fruit instead of a packet of crisps and treat yourself with a nice meal once a week, you don't want to be slim but obsede with weight, do you?

Good luck girly

Mambo, cut out calorific puddings. We tend to eat fruit for pudding most nights. Every week we buy different kids of berries (blueberries, blackberries, strawberries or cherries) or pineapple or melon or mango. The berries are really nice at the moment and will help if you are craving something sweet. My dad has managed to get his chloslesterol level down by a couple of points by eating fruit for puddings and cutting out the naughty desserts!

Drink lots of water most of the times you feel peckish its more likely to be thirst than hunger.......plus you'll get the bonus of radiant skin as you'll be flushin out all the toxins!

You know i'm going to say how good a colonic is

... but seriously it's a good opportunity to learn about what you should be eating and how your digestive system works - which plays a huge part in obtaining the optimum weight.

I asked as much as i could during the hour and came out MUCH the wiser.

Aim for burning 2000 calories a week with cardio training too.

started doing interval training - treadmill sprint a minute walk a minute etc, half an hour flys by and i burn just as much calories as i do when i jog for 30 minutes on an average speed.

I`ve been weight lifting for a few years now on and off, but last year or so went up to the heaviest i`ve been, lost 2 stone over the last few months and now need to lose the last stone and a bit in 7 weeks. And i eat 5-6 times a day, chicken and jacket spuds. sometimes salmon fish etc. gym 5 times a week at least. With cardio at least 3 times a week.

Also bought a bike which is a very good investment for when its sunny, bike to the gym and the cardios done then just do the weights when i`m there.

I do 3x 30 min walking a week, probably no where near enough :?

Its the will power the does it for me, i have none

The willpower is the hardest for everyone, especially when people all around you are "indulging". I would say best advice to you is this, cut out little things, try not snacking (if this is what you do), you cannot even realize how many calories you are eating in just that baby bag o'chips. And getting a little bit more exercise, if you burn 300 calories at the gym, and cut another 300 calories out of your diet, that's 600 per day and enough to lose weight. Then gradually work your way up to doing more such as not eating anything bad during the weekdays, and exercising more, and then eating a small treat on the weekends. Every little bit counts, and good luck it's a very hard thing to put yourself through!
