Here's the boilerplate, hope you can check out my new tracks on Fakt!
As a long serving stalwart of London's underground tech-house scene, Mark Sun has been creating mass-hysteria on dancefloors all over the capital as both DJ and tequila enthusiast. A Gallery 'Future Hero', signed to the prestigious Sedition DJs agency and already well known for his massive dawn hour closing sets, Mark's credentials as a club jock are well established.
However, Mark's background is in writing as well as playing music, and so his eyes have been on a production career from the very start. So, it seems fitting that his very first production, Dawnlight, was picked by Fergie to be his Radio 1 'One for one music track of the week', and went on to rave reviews from clubbing tastemakers like DJ Mag (4/5 stars) and One Week To Live (5.5/7).
Mark's sound is big, live and unashamedly cinematic. Drawing as much inspiration from heavyweight film composers like Vangelis, Hans Zimmer and John Powell as his clubbing heroes, Mark's productions inject drama and emotion into the gritty tech house sound - allowing glitchy percussion to sit side by side with soaring Hollywood strings and live guitars.
The Mark Sun EP is his first release on the flourishing Fakt imprint, and features two tracks, Snakeskin and Soul Under Siege. Snakeskin is a straight-shooting growling tech-house monster whilst Soul Under Siege shows Mark's moodier, more proggy side.
Early reactions to the EP have been strong, now grab yourself a copy and judge for yourself!

We like the 'Soul under siege' tune - like the guitar, mixed prog & strings which add good melodic vibe to it - in our bag

Loving both the tracks, Snakeskin will be the one that I will play out - I love the trippy synths, and 'Soul Under Seige' is great to listen to, i'm a big fan of Mark's productions and this is no exception, great release.

Soul Under Siege: Laid back proggy goodness here. Sets the pace well and is the right choice for those looking to get some moody contrast into their sets. Quality!
