So. my boss has asked me to find out about the REAL Ibiza! What is it really like? We want all the good and the bad!

What makes it hip? What makes it cool? What is so attarctive about Ibiza?

Thanks! :)

just get there!

I went for the first time last year and it made a massive impression on me. I was sceptical as to whether it would live up to the hype.......but it sure did.

*incredible vibe and atmosphere
*fantastic clubbing........so many options every night
*great climate
*incredible beaches and dramatic scenery
*The island has so much character
*its modern and sophisticated, yet as soon as you get out of the main towns, it possesses so much tradition and charm.
*Very diverse mix of people from many socio-demographic and cultural backgrounds.

The thing which stuck in my mind above all, is that while i predominately went there for a 'clubbing' holiday, i was absolutely stunned at how beautiful the island was after exploring it with a car for four days.........magical.

the good things

the good things about ibiza. having been 7 times
their is a lot to go back for and keep me returning.

the vibe
the music
the clubs
the people you meet
the weather always hot hardly ever rains
the choice of things to do,
the sunset strip, ( cafe mambo, cafe del mar etc )
the beaches accept san an's man made job
the world class dj's

one dislike though due to the euro it is not as cheap now, but that to me seem the same across europe.

i could go on and on ;) 8)

Get out of the resorts and find the real island! I found the local people away from the resorts very much how they were back in 1982 .. traditional and smiley .. and more than willing to help.

Well Andi & I went for the first time last year. Shock horror!!!! we didnt set foot in a club. After swearing that we would never go to the same place twice (we wanted to travel the world) Andi went back 3 months later and we have just booked for july this year. The island is one of the most beautiful in the world. This year we might even try the clubbin

Everyone is so relaxed and friendly, you can do what you want when you want and nobody cares.

In the clubs The people are there for the same reason, the love of the music or the dj or type of night on in the club making a relaxed happy atmosphere.

If you smile at someone they usually smile back or come and talk to you usually ending up meeting new people from all over the world. (here you would prob get a kick in)

Most of the island, although many large clubs and pubs, still remains unspoild and are many breathtaking veiws.

In ibiza you can just be yourself and no one cares and thats the best way to be.
