strange things happen in ibiza. here a triumph of planning left this post carrying overhead electricity cables marooned right in the middle of our street. a bit of an obstacle to traffic, it's been there for years despite the neighbours having paid for underground ducts to carry new cables.

anyway, i spotted some officials carrying bits of paper yesterday who told me they'd be burying the cables and taking out the posts next year. this will please everybody in the street, especially my neighbour, who has such a post blocking the entrance to his 4 car drive and 3 car garage!

things happen somewhat slowly here, some of you may know that it took me exactly 7 months to get an electricity supply to the house, despite the presence of said cable on 3 vertical metres from my front gate!

only in ibiza

too right............can't beat a storm either to knock half the electricity off across the island. remember standing in san an bay once watchin lights in san an flick on and then off, on and then off as the lightening struck.

relampagos:D !!

its like the outside the villa we normally book in Port es Torrent - from the corner of Avenida de San Augustin all the way up to Es Cucou (sp?) Supermarket they updated the road l(ie added pavements and tarmac) but left the electricity poles on the road instead of moving them on to the pavements - wonder if they moved them and finished the road off yet??
