The giant rock from Close Encounters?

I've heard that the rock used in he film close encounters is near Ibiza? Does anyone have any information on this?

The Rock

Its called Es Vedra, you can see it from the beach at Cala Dort or take a boat trip from San Antonio. Dont think it was used in the film but it looks very much like the one in the film.

The rock is in the US and is in the exact place/town that was shown in the film when they find it on the map - Devil's Tower in Wyoming.
 
Yes that was it 'Es Vedra'. A friend of mine mentioned it. He said he thoguht it was used in the film but it looks like it wasn't. He also stated this was the only place in the world that if you climbed to the top of it you could not feel and wind, something to do with cross winds.
 
dear lord people, its got nothing to do with ibiza, it IS in wyoming and does in fact exist only Steven Spielberg decided to build up a part of it in the studio becuase its innaprocable in real life (doesnt have those flat areas where they end up finding that huge ufo) I have the DVD in my apartment and have watched those behind the scene things many times......

hehe nooo I wasnt angry or nothing, hehehe! Just thought it was funny peeps would think the rock had something2 so with ibiza lol* ;)
