Didn't get a chance to post this yesterday but wanted to share. On Wednesday night, I was fortunate enough to attend a concert by the legendary Chuck Berry 8)
This man ROCKED! As well he should, since he basically created the genre.
At 80 years old, he's still a better performer than most musicians a quarter his age. Moving around the stage, jamming with band members, improvising on his songs, amazing guitar solos, and interacting with the audience. He was even bringing people up on stage to dance
Totally surprised by the reaction in Moscow. When I arrived, the queue to get into the club was 3 blocks long
I hadn't bought tix ahead of time so I thought I was screwed, as the venue only holds 3500. Then I found a guy that was selling his comp tickets for half-price. Result!
(I also found a way to circumvent the queue
). The capacity crowd, of all ages, was absolutely totally loving it.
If you ever get a chance to see this man play live, GO!
