Didn't get a chance to post this yesterday but wanted to share. On Wednesday night, I was fortunate enough to attend a concert by the legendary Chuck Berry 8)

This man ROCKED! As well he should, since he basically created the genre.

At 80 years old, he's still a better performer than most musicians a quarter his age. Moving around the stage, jamming with band members, improvising on his songs, amazing guitar solos, and interacting with the audience. He was even bringing people up on stage to dance

Totally surprised by the reaction in Moscow. When I arrived, the queue to get into the club was 3 blocks long 8O I hadn't bought tix ahead of time so I thought I was screwed, as the venue only holds 3500. Then I found a guy that was selling his comp tickets for half-price. Result! :D (I also found a way to circumvent the queue ). The capacity crowd, of all ages, was absolutely totally loving it.

If you ever get a chance to see this man play live, GO!

That would be brilliant :D I wish I'd seen Stevie Ray Vaughan (my all time guitar hero) before he died :( My Mate also saw Buddy Guy a few years back and said it was an amazing gig..

:D :D did he do johnny b. goode?? 8) 8)
He did indeed! :D
(...and yes, I was waiting for it )

He was jamming at the end of the song and stopped until the security guys let these 2 teenagers back on stage to dance with him  Then he launched into another chorus of the song.

I'm so glad I had the chance to see Berry. When James Brown died last month, I was bummed that I missed his show here about 2.5 yrs ago.

I still want to catch B.B. King if there's a chance. Living Legend.
