The Face @ Privilege moved to the back room

Hmm... interesting. I wonder if they're just another victim of the party scene fragmentation this year.

Privilege is a big room to fill. Went there the last few years and had a blast, and Oliver plays great music.

I have hopes that the side room will make for a better room for the event being a bit more intimate. havent they extended that side room anyway now? Its not as small as it was before.

it does seem bigger.
to be honest with you it didnt feel any more intimate to me. quite the opposite actually, half empty and too bright for my liking and the type of music.
Their numbers and production have been gradually getting worse and worse every year since the Home of LaTroya at space for whatever reason.
i still go every year though, just because of DJ Oliver now :)

OK I am going to defend them as they were trying so hard:

We were more used to Manumission at Privilege so this was quite different.

The face of Ibiza are a very Gay night but on a the night before it is La Troya and on the night after it's Supermartxe two massive gay nights.

and

on the same night it is Cream and F*** Me I'm Famous - two massive nights.

Got the free bus (We love the free bus they put on now) and got there at 1.30
Only the lower level dance floor in front of the pool and Coco Loco Bar was open.

The 1st thing to hit us was the FUNKTION-ONE sound system, OMG it is soooooooooo good!

The 2nd thing o hit us was the smell from the toilets. Now I know it has been an on-going joke for years now but you could smell them in the club, so bad.

It wasn't that busy but filling up slowly. Most people were stood around with drinks nodding to the music.

They had a girl on a trapeze up in the air. She put on a good show but I have seen it lots of times befor in Ibiza.

The Big TV and lights were good and the DJs were ok.

They did play The Sound Of Violence - Cassius. 3 times in 3 hours

This was very good But I got the feeling it was exactly the same each week.

After this he seemed to spend the rest of the night sat on the bar.

We went into Coco Loco Bar several times but it was always empty.

Sadly the party never realy seemed to get going and we left at 5.30

and a ****ing joke anyway to replace the worldfamous COCOLOCO room
with this "vista"-****(name) ...
 
i think privilege will be the nxt super club to close in the next year or 2.....its just too big to fill every nite of the week. Ive even heard reports that the 'only' real success and rammed night this season was the radio1 party. shame, had some amazing nights in there.
 
it's is definitely more suitable for elrow type hands-in-the-air colourfull party, than the darker, naughtier type the face used to be, in my opinion.
and nothing will beat the cocoloco room mornings :)
