It's all the hypocracy that gets me. We all know that football crowds (including City's) can be pretty cruel with some of their chants. However, it's a man's game (eh Clara??
) and if you can't stand the heat, you shouldn't be there. The Everton fans felt no compunction about picking on JB, but then suddenly became sensitive little things when he light heartedly gave a bit back. Are their fans such wilting violets that they need to tell the police? Are the police really so short of things to do on Merseyside that they can investigate this? The F A do nothing about a blatant dive in the Spurs game, that directly affected the result. Martin Jol fails to acknowledge it as cheating. Meanwhile, the F A can get really excited about the JB incident, and we all know they will probably hit him with a ban. Of course they have the right to do that, but they might want to think about their own credibility at a time when there are bigger issues that really ought to be the centre of their attention - bungs, diving, shirt pulling, feigning injury, imaginary card waving and England's failure to win anything sinc 1966. Might be nice if the authorities, both police and F A, focussed on things that do matter. Everton fans - grow up, think about the provocation and ask yourselves what happened to the self-proclaimed scouse sense of humour. You know, and we know, you were just frustrated because we had equalised. You really should just try to cope with it.
